Noah Grosz will be exhibiting an installation entitled Cathedrals at the Crossroads at Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts as part of Innovators 3, 2011. The official Opening will be 6-8pm on November the 11th. The exhibition continues until Sunday the 11th of December. Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts is at 26 Acland Street St Kilda.
The work will consist of a sculpted cave installation built from timber and carved, painted polystyrene and recycled Vinyl.
These materials in themselves speak of our depletion of the world’s resources and our attempts to utilise bi- products.
The Installation will incorporate a large-scale painting accompanied by a smaller one. This will symbolise humankind’s dreams of creating a perfect world coupled with a representation of the world’s current dark environmental state.
Though it's easy to criticize our current situation on the planet, within these works there is an emphasis on positive hope and the realization it's never too late to take any step toward creating a better planet no matter how big or small.
